Hey Team Costa Rica!

I'm just dropping a line to say how excited I am about our trip that's coming up so soon.  Let me share some encouraging words about how God is already using our trip to bring kingdom:

Today I was on the phone with a man from the church I'm part of in San Diego.  He was asking me a few questions about the trip.  We said goodbye and I didn't think much of it... But then he called back a few minutes later and was super excited to tell me what had happened.

Right after we hung up the first time, the man sitting next to him at the car wash asked, "Is your friend going to Costa Rica?"  David, my friend, then told him I was going to Costa Rica on a mission trip.  This man happened to be from Costa Rica, and David is a resident missionary to Baja, Mexico.  

Anyway, they ended up talking for a few minutes and when David felt prompted to give the man a bible, he found out that several people in this man's life had been telling him "busca Dios" (search for God), which is exactly the phrase David was going to use with him.  

David gave him the Bible and told the man that their conversation had not been coincidental.  The man left very encouraged.

Anyway -- I just got really excited about what God is already doing.  Be encouraged in the next few days leading up to training camp.  Prepare your hearts for how God would use you.  See you soon!
