Well, basically since I was really little, I’ve wanted to go to other countries and tell people about God. That’s always just something that’s had a huge draw for me. It wasn’t until recently though – this last year and a half – that I felt so strongly that I KNEW it was something He had planned for me. My church is of the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination (CMA), so it is very focused on missions. The past few times we’ve had missionaries come and speak I was literally (not exaggerating here) shaking in my seat because I wanted to just get up, run to the airport, and leave for somewhere, anywhere God wanted to take me, that very moment. My parents and I began researching mission trips even more, and we found this one. See, it was actually kind of hard finding one I could go on. Many of the trips to countries I felt especially called to were in May, the first half of June, or September. None of that works with the school schedules where I live. And I and my parents would be fine with me missing school since missions is something I’m called to, but we figured it just wouldn’t be very smart… So, when I heard about this one, I was so excited, and even more so when I got accepted! I am extremely pumped for this trip, partly because I see it as being the first of many, many more to come. Anyways, that’s my story! 🙂
