My
parents have raised me to appreciate what God has blessed me with and
not take anything for granted. They have also taught me that it's
important to reach out to those less fortunate and those who don't know
Christ's love for them. Because of this, I find real joy in
volunteering, which I do a couple of times a week. I tutor 3 girls who
just recently moved here from Vietnam and I participate in a ministry
to teenagers and adults with special needs. Volunteering locally is
great, but I've always been interested in traveling somewhere new and
serving people on a different level. Last summer I went on a mission
trip to Panther, West Virginia with my youth group. I signed up to be
one of the people leading VBS for the local children and I had an
amazing experience. I was planning to go with my youth group to New
Orleans

this summer, but when I found out about this trip I decided to
step outside of my comfort zone and let God lead me into this new and
exciting opportunity. I'm so excited to see what happens and how He
works in and through each one of us!
