Ever since I was in fourth grade I knew that the Lord was calling me to international missions. Since then I have participated in local missions at churches and through service projects, but about a year ago the Lord spoke to me and told me that it was time for me to travel outside of the US. At an Adventist Youth Convention the Lord revealed to me that He wanted me to do career missions and ever since I have been looking into medical missions training institutes. I looked into several trips through AIM, but nothing really worked out until I chose this trip and it was like the Lord just opened up all of the doors for me, beginning with my application and continuing with the financial and prayer support from family and friends. I feel like He has led me to this trip because I speak conversational Spanish and I truly hope to be able to communicate with the natives while we are there. I know that He will use us as a team to witness to his children in Costa Rica and I look forward to how I will grow personally in the Lord.
