Hello CR Team!
I am Kenny Liles, one of your leaders for the Costa Rica Trip! I am already looking forward to the trip this summer, and to all the things that God is going to do.
I am a follower of Jesus. I am 24. I am one of the pastors of a missional church plant in downtown San Diego, a barista at a local coffee shop, a recycling man, a musician, and a red-head. God has given me a heart for mission, whether it be here in the states of overseas. I’m so excited about the opportunity to serve alongside you guys this summer. It’s amazing to thing about the ways God is going to use us to minister, and how he will also use the experience in Costa Rica to bring the kingdom in our hearts. It is ALL for his glory!
Some other quick things about me: I like writing songs, writing journals, and reading good books. I think a good cup of coffee in the morning is hard to beat. Also, I licked the Taj Mahal when I was in India last summer with another mission trip!

songwriting? I’ve been hoping to see another musician– I’m thinking I’ll bring a guitar myself since it seems like a good opportunity with worship and everything

Wow! I think it’s amazing that you write songs. I also write songs (on the piano), but I don’t really think my piano will fit in my carry-on 😛 Also, Julia, I love that you play guitar, you should definitely bring it. My brother brought his when he went to Peru and it was an excellent idea. He was so glad he did. I can’t wait to hear you play!(:
